Commissioned by the Westin Hotel in Richmond, BC, High Forest is a simple, symbolic and highly visible installation in one of the major arteries connecting to the Vancouver International Airport along the Arthur Lang Bridge. Ninety stanchions rise up from the roof of the hotel like trees in a well ordered forest, coloured in various shades of green, gold-green and brown. Stainless steel bolts root the coloured glass fins to the stanchions.
