There is the explosive opening - the violent separating of rays, uncharacteristic and foreign to itself.

It speaks of dangerous and possible catastrophes caused by mindlessness and carelessness.

Perhaps that is a portent of disasters to be avoided by careful husbandry and maintenance of environmental elements.

While mesmerizingly reflective and seemingly weightless, this 1,800 lb. metal sculpture is the result of extensive design and manufacturing processes.

The form is inspired by that of the Braziletto tree native to Mexico, and began with a small bronze-cast sculpture. The new, larger version was envisioned and translated via 3D rendering. Steel sheets were precisely cut, bent and welded. Laborious grinding and polishing make for the work's incredible shine and speak to the level of mastery involved in its' creation.
