Boundless I

Ironic and mischievous, the boundaries set by the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition - 7' x 7' x 4'  - inspired a piece about feeling boundless; responding to the challenge of a constrained space.
A frame measuring precisely to the maximum allotted size, was constructed in wood and wrapped in latex. Red aluminum beams extend in multiple directions, pushing the boundaries of the box and at points stretching the latex without tearing it.
